2013-2017 Honda Accord Battery Size
4-cyl 2.4L models use Group 51R; V6 3.5L models use Group 24F. Battery fit is the same for every year in this generation — always confirm against the installed battery label, owner's manual, or a VIN-based retailer lookup before ordering.
Battery specs carried straight over into the ninth generation. A 2013–2017 Accord with the 2.4L four-cylinder still calls for a Group 51R at 500 to 590 CCA, flooded or AGM; the 3.5L V6 still calls for a Group 24F at roughly 700 CCA. What deserves a second look on these cars is the group number itself. Printed side by side, 51 and 51R read nearly identically, and the R is the whole difference — it marks which side the terminals sit on. Read the label on the battery already in the car and match it exactly, R included, before ordering.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|

| V6 3.5L | 24F | ~700 | Flooded / AGM | The V6 fitment usually uses Group 24F; do not downsize to 51R unless your label says so. | Shop ▸ |
What to check before buying
- Group size: this controls physical fit, hold-down, and terminal position.
- Terminal direction: 51R has reversed terminals; 51 and 51R are not interchangeable.
- CCA: match or exceed the factory rating in the same group size.
- Chemistry: keep AGM if your Accord came with AGM, especially on hybrid or start/stop trims.
